Southern California Paint Horse Club News

Welcome to 2010!  As you all have come to expect, SCPHC is continuing to think outside the box!  We are very excited about the horse shows we will be offering Paint Horse exhibitors this year!  We will kick off the year March 12-14, 2010 at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center (yes Burbank!) with our “Double Whammy” show!  We will have 2 judges and are approved for double CCC points!  Exhibitors will get a lot of bang for their buck!

We are so happy that our Ride Like a Rockstar Series is catching on!  We are trying to offer well run, well judged, well participated shows at a reasonable price for everyone!  Look for Rockstar to return this summer, July and August, for those of  you just starting out, those of you who are starting a new horse, and those of you who have been showing for quite awhile!  We hope the amateurs, youth, and professionals are enjoying being able to bring ALL their clients and ALL types of horses to the show and finding a spot for them to show!  This past year we offered APHA approved  judges who were kind to everyone and judged as they saw it.  The shows also offered points in every APHA class offered!

Our plan for our club is to keep doing these types of shows forever!  If you love our format please see if you can sponsor a class.  You may do so for as little as $25.00!  We sure could use your help in that department!

Thanks for your interest!

Cindy Weight-Carter and the members of Southern California Paint Horse Club

Beginning January 1, 2008, APHA requires exhibitors in an APHA class to have an APHA membership.

Check out the APHA renewal site.

Don’t forget to renew your APHA membership before the show to save the rush!

The Southern California Paint Horse Club’s purpose is to promote the registered American Paint Horse throughout the world. The Club’s principal place of business is Southern California, but its work with the Paint Horse has no bounds.  SCPHC’s purpose is to promote the Paint Horse to all people regardless of expertise and to invite all Paint Horse lovers no matter if they own a horse or not to enjoy the American Paint Horse in a friendly group setting.  SCPHC’s purpose is to promote good sportsmanship and well being to all horsemen.  We expect all members to live by example and be above unsportsmanship like conduct.  We expect all members to always put the good of the whole and the Paint Horse above personal gain and personal goals.

Check in regularly at this site for more details on this year’s upcoming events.

SCPHC invites you to join the club and experience the fun of riding, showing and owning Paint Horses!
