Greetings to all our exhibitors!
We would like to welcome you to the 2008 show season & let you know what we have planned for you!
First, please notice that we will be hosting a year-end awards presentation for our first annual Ride Like a Rock Star show series at our April "Paint the Surf" Show, April 11. All of the information about the Award Banquet can be found on our April 2008 Show page. We are also hosting a pasta dinner on Saturday, April 12!
We are doing a
"SoCal Awards Series"
Everyone who shows in both shows can win!
Each class offered in both shows is eligible!
Highest placing exhibitor/horse combination in both the April show and the August show will win SoCal Awards Series Class Prize.
Rules:
1. Same horse/exhibitor combination in each show.
2. Owner and exhibitor must be members of Southern California Paint Horse Club before showing in the class.
3. Team must show at both shows.
4. Awards will be presented on the same day that class is run. Not necessarily directly after class is held. All awards must be checked and verified. NO AWARDS WILL BE MAILED! MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR YOUR AWARD TO BE PICKED UP IF YOU WON’T BE PRESENT!
Because it is a new season you will be required to have a current membership for APHA & PtHA, as well as current Novice Amateur, Amateur, Novice Youth & Youth cards. All of which can be applied for at the show or through the respective breed websites. We will honor last years club memberships for this first show, but you may want to go ahead and join for 2008 and receive all the state of California mailings as well! Also for the 2008 season APHA rules require every exhibitor in an APHA class must have an APHA membership. Again you can visit the APHA website or join at our first show! Please watch our website for our upcoming events; we will also be hosting a POR August 7-10, both are approved by both APHA & CCC.
We will also be returning with our “Ride Like A Rock star” Series June 8, July 19, & August 3 at PVRA in Poway! For your convenience we have included the dates for Paint & Pinto shows here in California! So please come join us for family fun here in Southern California!

Southern California Paint Horse Club's thoughts and prayers go out to a wonderful Paint horse family... the Hill family. We feel the loss of Don Hill and grieve with you. Many a horse show he kept on time and kept running--with Edie in the office and Don on the show grounds the show was sure to be a hit. The Paint World has lost a winner. God Bless.

Beginning January 1, 2008, APHA requires exhibitors in an APHA class to have an APHA membership.
